Landwehr Dairy

Landwehr Dairy

The farm was purchased by my Father in 1954, milking 35 cows.  He built a free stall barn in 1970 for 120 cows.  I farmed with my father & brother until 1999.  In 2000 my wife, Marlene & son Michael, built a new free stall facility for 600cows.  We have expanded several times over the years to 1100 cow, milking 3 times a day & farm 1500 acres.

Landwehr family

We have enjoyed hosting several groups of students from the Veterinary School, the Vo-tech school, the elementary school, international groups, & groups from the local nursing home.  In 2012 we hosted Stearns County Breakfast on the Farm, which drew approximately 2500 farm & non-farm people to the farm for tours & learning experience.  It was an amazing experience.

We have enjoyed our many years with the dairy, but we are not getting any younger. We have leased the dairy to Evergreen Acres Dairy as of April 1, 2021.  Michael & I will still do the cropping & sell crops to the Dairy.

Daley Farms

Daley Farm

Daley Farms consists of a family partnership of approximately 25 years with three brothers: Paul, Doug, and Fabian. We are located in the Pine Island, MN area.

We milk 1,000 cows in a double-20 parallel parlor with two, six-row freestall barns bedded with recycled manure solids.

Our herd is a combination of Holsteins and crossbred programs consisting of ProCross (Holstein, Viking Red, and Montbeliarde) as well as SelectCross (Holstein, Jersey, and Montbeliarde). With these genetics and a specific feeding strategy, we strive for high components.

We grow all of our own forages and raise all of our replacement heifers.
